Privacy Policy
Spotlit is a menu-bar app for the Mac that highlights your mouse pointer. It does not collect personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and the app sends nothing to me.
Your settings
Your preferences are stored only on your Mac. They never leave it.
Purchases and the free trial
The free trial and the one-time PRO purchase are handled by Apple. I do not receive your payment details or your Apple ID.
Permissions Spotlit asks for
- Input Monitoring. Used only to draw the keys you press on screen while the keystroke display is turned on. Keys are never saved, logged or sent anywhere.
- Screen Recording. Used only by the magnifier, to enlarge the area under the pointer on your screen. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.
You can remove either permission at any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security.
Children
Spotlit collects no data from anyone, including children.
